BIM coordination: resolve clashes before you build.

We technically review every discipline of your project on the BIM models, detect collisions and clashes, and deliver a coordinated model, drawings and a critical points report.

What it is

A process where every discipline works on the same model.

BIM coordination is a multidisciplinary process: architecture, structure and MEP are reviewed together on the models, instead of comparing drawings separately.

That way problems show up on the computer, not on site. Each clash is documented, discussed with the responsible designer and resolved in the model before tendering or building.

What you avoid by coordinating in BIM

  • Ducts, pipes or beams that clash only once on site
  • Change orders caused by design errors
  • RFIs and rework that stop construction
  • Discipline drawings that don't match each other
  • Take-offs that don't reflect what will be built
What we deliver

Clear information for decision-making.

Coordination model

A federated model bringing every discipline of the project together in one place.

Critical points report

Detected clashes, prioritized and documented so each specialist knows what to resolve.

Coordination drawings

Drawings generated from the coordinated model, ready to review and build.

Coordination meetings

We review clashes with the designers and follow up until they're closed.

BIM coordination process

Five steps, from the models to the coordinated project.

1

Model review

We receive the models or drawings for each discipline and check their quality.

2

Federation

We bring all disciplines together in a coordination model.

3

Detection

We detect collisions and clashes between disciplines.

4

Resolution

We review each point with the designers and agree on the solution.

5

Close-out

We deliver the coordinated model, drawings and final report.

Disciplines

We coordinate every discipline of the project.

Frequently asked questions

About BIM coordination.

What do I need to get started?

The BIM models for each discipline. If your project is in CAD, we can model it first and then coordinate it.

Do you coordinate projects you didn't model?

Yes. We work with your designers' models and coordinate the solution to each clash with them.

What software do you use?

Mainly Revit and Navisworks, on a cloud-based common data environment. We also deliver in the open IFC format.

Does it help if construction has already started?

Yes. We can coordinate upcoming work packages and keep the model updated during construction with our on-site BIM service.

Do you work outside Concepción?

Yes. Coordination is done remotely, so we work on projects throughout Chile and Latin America.

Have a project to coordinate?

Tell us what stage it's at and which disciplines it includes. We'll reply with a tailored proposal.
